Pawapuri : Pawapuri, as the ‘Nirvana Bhoomi’ of Lord Mahaveer and the place of his last Sermons, always remained in the focus of Jain community all over the world still it did not have any educational institution for the children. This fact was manifested in the large number of beggars present in the area. Acharya Shri took the Committee members around Pawapuri. After seeing the area and plight of the villagers, they pledged to have a school at Pawapuri.
A school, second unit of Tirthankar Mahaveer Vidya Mandir, was established on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tirtiya on 11 May, 2005. A plot of 7 acres was purchased and a double storey building soon came up on the land, adjacent to the Samvasaran Temple. The number of students have grown up to more than 500 now. The students come from as far as 20 kms from the school which itself shows the credibility of the school in the area.
